An open-air treehouse on a working permaculture farm in Little Haiti, ten minutes from Wynwood and about fifteen from South Beach. The whole point is that you sleep up in the canopy with the breeze coming through — the bed sits under a roof but the sides are open, with a net to keep mosquitoes off. Below you the farm gets on with its day: goats, emus, chickens, roosters, parrots, fruit trees. You share the kitchen and bathroom facilities at ground level, and the hosts have run this place for years and know exactly what they're doing. Be honest with yourself about what you're booking: roosters crow early, Miami summers are hot and humid, and this is rustic by design. In return you pay a fraction of a Miami hotel rate and wake up somewhere that feels nothing like the city around it.
