This is the real-deal Amazon option: a small lodge on Lake Acajatuba in the Rio Negro region, about two hours from Manaus, and the price covers everything — private transfer from your Manaus hotel or the airport, all meals, and guided excursions every day. You sleep in one of twelve rustic stilted chalets built from local timber, each with air conditioning, insect screens and its own bathroom, so it's comfortable without pretending to be a resort. Days are structured: jungle treks, canoe trips, piranha fishing, night outings to spot caimans, and visits to riverside communities, with optional add-ons like swimming with river dolphins or a night camping in the forest.
