This is the big, famous one on the hill above Dominical: a two-story open-plan treehouse looking straight down the coastline at the surf break below. You drive in through a gated neighborhood and climb a steep road to get up here, so plan on a 4x4. Once you're in, the place does the work — capuchins and howlers move through the trees, sloths show up on the property, and in whale season you can spot humpbacks from the deck. There's a real kitchen, air conditioning in the sleeping areas, a pool, and two extra platforms scattered on the land: a 'birdcage' lookout and a yoga deck pointed at the sunset. Two bedrooms plus open sleeping space fit a group of up to eight. Dominical town and the beach are a short drive back down. Not cheap, but guests keep calling it the best stay of their trip.
